Our recent adventure took us to Roi Et, a charming province in Thailand's Isaan region, where we found ourselves enchanted by the Roi Et Tower.

This modern landmark is not only a striking visual centerpiece but also a gateway to an array of local experiences.

Here’s a glimpse into our exciting journey and what you can expect when visiting Roi Et Tower.

A Pinnacle of Modern Architecture

Standing tall at 104 meters, Roi Et Tower is an architectural marvel that offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city and the lush countryside. The tower’s design, reminiscent of a traditional Thai pagoda, beautifully blends modernity with cultural heritage.

As we ascended the tower, we were greeted with a stunning 360-degree view that stretched as far as the eye could see. It was the perfect spot for capturing unforgettable photos and soaking in the serene landscapes of Roi Et.

Attractions and Activities

Roi Et Tower isn't just about the views. At the base of the tower, we discovered a charming park with lush greenery and serene walking paths. The area around the tower is perfect for a leisurely stroll, and we enjoyed a relaxing afternoon picnic surrounded by nature. For families, there are play areas for children and plenty of benches for a restful break.

Inside the tower, there is a small museum that showcases the history and culture of Roi Et. We were fascinated by the exhibits that highlighted local traditions, historical artifacts, and the region's development over the years. The tower also features a café where we indulged in some refreshing Thai iced teas while taking in the view.

Opening Hours and Ticket Prices

Roi Et Tower is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, allowing plenty of time to explore and enjoy its various offerings. The entrance fee is quite affordable at just 50 THB (approximately $1.50) per person. This makes it an excellent value for the experience and views it provides.

Local Delicacies: A Culinary Adventure

No trip to Roi Et would be complete without sampling the local food. We immersed ourselves in the region’s vibrant culinary scene, starting with Khao Pad Kapi, a flavorful shrimp fried rice dish. At local eateries, this dish cost us about 80 THB (roughly $2.50). We also tried Som Tum, a spicy green papaya salad, which was a delightful explosion of flavors for just 60 THB ($1.80).

For a sweet treat, we visited a small dessert shop and enjoyed sticky rice with mango, a classic Thai favorite. The combination of sweet, ripe mango with creamy coconut sticky rice was a delicious end to our meals, costing about 50 THB ($1.50).
