The fox is a cunning and intelligent animal that is very famous in the animal world. There are many species of fox, arctic fox, red fox, white fox, silver fox, black fox, sand fox and so on. They have a very wide distribution, in addition to Australia, in Asia, Europe, Africa, the Americas, and the polar regions.

Foxes are slender and dog-like in appearance, with long, thick fur and a large bushy tail. The large, furry tail helps the fox maintain balance as it pounces on its prey, and the white fur on the tip of the tail confuses and distracts the enemy. Most species of fox have large, erect, triangular ears. The pupils of foxes are oval and bright, and can see in the dark. Therefore, foxes have keen senses of hearing, sight and smell.

From the perspective of living habits, the fox is a nocturnal animal. They usually encounter some large beasts when foraging for food, and they will choose to "pretend to be dead" when they know that they can't beat or run away in a critical moment. You must know that although many large beasts are carnivores, many do not like to eat corpses, and naturally they are not interested when they see a fox "dead". At this time, the "pretending" fox uses its sensitive sense of smell and hearing to determine whether the beast has left. When the beast leaves, it gradually stands up and runs away quickly. These cunning behaviors are the fox's superb means of survival.

Not only are they smart, they are also very alert. When they go out to hunt, most of them first carefully observe the surrounding environment. If the fox finds the hunter, it will quietly follow the hunter. If it sees a trap designed by a hunter, it will leave a stench on the trap set by the hunter, sending a dangerous message to its companions and telling them not to be fooled.

Foxes mainly live in forests, grasslands, semi-deserts, and hilly areas, living in tree holes or burrows. They go out for food in the evening and return home at dawn. Therefore, it can prey on all kinds of mice, hares, birds, fish, frogs, lizards, insects, etc., and also eat some wild fruits. Because it mainly eats rats and only occasionally attacks poultry, it is a more beneficial animal; its long, bushy tail helps keep them balanced as they pounce on their prey, and the white hairs at the tip of the tail can confuse enemies and disrupt enemy sight.
