• Matsumae Park


Matsumae Park, one of the top 100 historical sites in Japan, was selected as a Hokkaido heritage in 2004.


In an area of about 210,000 square meters, there are 10,000 cherry trees of 250 different types, you can relax and enjoy the cherry blossom viewing from late April to mid-May. Starting with the "Kechimyaku Sakura" from Kozenji Temple which is thought to be over 300 years old, you can enjoy many different cherry blossoms such as the "Ezokasumi Sakura" from Ryuunin, the "Fuufu Sakura" from the Tenjinzaka gate, the charming red "Nanden" which represents Matsumae, and umbrellas like "Amayadori".


In the northern area of the park, you will find "Sakurami Honen" where there is a display consisting of many preserved cherry blossoms called the "live cherry blossom encyclopedia".



• Chidorigafuchi


Around Chidorigafuchi which is on the northwest side of the emperor's palace is a popular Hanami spot. Here there are about 200 cherry blossom trees in bloom and you can take photos of the cherry blossoms against the backdrop of the stone walls of Edo Castle, now the Imperial Palace. Chidorigafuchi Park, which is located between Chidorigafusi west side of the Imperial Palace and the British Embassy, has around 170 cherry blossom trees, so we recommend taking a leisurely stroll around the area as well.



• Rikugien's Garden


Rikugien Gardens is the next place to visit when traveling to Japan in spring to see the most beautiful cherry blossoms.


This garden is located in the Bunkyo area, Tokyo. One of the main icons of this garden is the weeping cherry tree. Its height reaches 15 meters.


• Maruyama Park


Maruyama Park is a park often visited by local residents to just sit back and chat with friends. When spring arrives, this park becomes one of the favorite places to enjoy the beauty of cherry blossoms.


At least in this park there are approximately 500 alley cherry trees scattered throughout the park. The beauty of this cherry blossom park is very beautiful and soothing, especially in spring.
