On Earth, roads are crisscrossed, uncountable. Recently, the American "Huffington Post" summarized the world's 5 most beautiful highways for us. Whether it's a winding coastal road or a steep mountain road, these beautiful highways pass through many scenic spots and make you dizzying along the way.

Next, fasten your seat belts and join us on these five most beautiful roads.

1. German Romantic Road

The Romantic Road is one of the most beautiful scenic roads in Germany, taking you through locations with the essence of German landscape and culture. Medieval towns surrounded by walls and towers, stuccoed houses on wooden shelves, old inns and castles, and small restaurants serving hearty food.

Special recommendations on the Romantic Road: picturesque Rothenburg ob der Tauber (Rothenburg upper Tauber), best preserved German medieval town and Swan Castle.

2. Hana Highway, Hawaii, USA

The Hana Highway winds its way along Maui's northern coastline for 52 miles. From Kahului eastwards around 600 bends to the finish at Hana. From every bend, you can see the magnificent sea view, the beach of black sand, the rushing waterfall, and the deciduous trees that stretch for miles.

Along the way, there are many places for tourists to take pictures and walk. You can drive all the way in about 2 hours, but you will definitely stop and go all the way to enjoy the scenery.

3. Amalfi Lane, Italy

The Amalfir Coast has some of the most beautiful scenery in Italy. Unesco calls it "a quintessentially beautiful and quintessentially Mediterranean scenery". The Amalfi Coast Drive, which stretches for 25 miles along the coast, is one of the most legendary drives in the world.

From Salerno all the way to the west; the terraced villages and towns, the tunnels directly through the cliffs, and the rippling Mediterranean Sea, everything is breathtaking. However, the roads here are narrow, and strong winds, heavy traffic, and even reckless drivers add hidden dangers to the road, so you must be extra careful when you drive here.

4. Great Ocean Road, Australia

This is the most beautiful coastal road in the southern hemisphere, stretching along the west coast of Victoria. The Great Ocean Road starts in Torquay and ends in Allansford. The roadside coastal scenery is one of the best attractions in the world.

There are tranquil coves, surfing beaches, tropical rainforests, caves and vents, as well as a world-famous attraction - the peculiar natural stone pillars of the "Twelve Apostles" (one of which has collapsed) standing in the ocean. You can also see historic submarine sunken ships and a variety of wildlife on this route.

Driving all the way, there are dense and lush rainforests, koalas sleeping with trees, cattle and sheep scattered on the hillside and small villages.

5. New Zealand National Highways

It's hard to say why New Zealand's Route 43 is known as the Road to the Forgotten World. The road in the North Island is remote and young, but it is full of unspoiled greenery along the way. In fact, the only town to pass by on the road is Whangamomona, about 38 miles east of the entrance to Stratford.

The Road to the Forgotten World extends 93 miles northwest to Taumarunui. It crosses a winding channel, through the verdant valleys of the North Island, past beech forests and fertile farmland. Along the way, you can visit old mining villages and pass the haunting Moki Tunnels.

And don't forget to pack your car kit, as soft, gravel roads may require you to change your tires. If the car is in good condition, it only takes 2 hours to drive the whole journey.
